Julia made a new friend out at the lake at A & L's party. His name was "C" and he was as cute as the dickens. Julia is very much a girly girl, so it was unusual for her to be so taken with a boy her age. They played all day long, taking boat rides together etc.
We stayed well past dark that night. I remember doing the "lawn scan" to get a kid headcount and wondered where Julia was? I saw 2 heads in the hammock so I headed over there (fortunately with my camera...)
Well, lo and behold - there was Julia and C sitting in the hammock together. It was all perfectly innocent, but they looked at me like I had just caught them doing something very bad. It was quite amusing.
