The houses in OBX all look about the same from the outside (ok, not the gagillion dollar ones). There must be some code that caps their height etc. Most of the houses in our area had many of the same features - multiple levels, multiple decks, pools, hottubs, fairly boxy. Our house named "Perfect Prescription" was a 5 bedroom, 4 bath at the end of a cul-de-sac (which apparently is a "court" when you grow up in Virginia) which had a fair amount of privacy. Only about a 5 minute walk to the beach and the turtle pond, and a 5 minute drive to the Food Lion. It really was pretty perfect. (Dryer vent not withstanding.)
Other one is just pretty sky. Ahhhhhh.
